But he showed up anyway. BP (Bi-polar for those that may remember) cousin let his cows into the fields to graze whatever was left from the last growing season. Mr. Bull here decided he had had enough of the girl cows & the grass looked greener on our side of the fence. He found a way in & decided to stroll around for a while.
Thank goodness he didn't actually take a bite of this little pine. |
He is a fine specimen. |

In other news, the cranes were migrating. It's funny, you can hear them coming waaaay before you see them. They fly very very high but I was able to get just one shot that actually shows them looking like cranes. You have to biggify it to see.
My orange tree produced a few (& I mean very few) oranges this year. It was loaded with blooms but only produced 8 oranges. I thought they might be on the sour side but am happy to report that they are quite tasty.
A quick shot of the prime rib we had for New Years dinner. We froze 1/2 of it for later eating.
And last but definitely not least, here's Nelly in her Christmas sweater. She doesn't look too happy about it but she didn't mind it at all. Although it is a bit snug so she's on a diet now.

I think that 4 legged critter would look good in the freezer! :-)
As for the oranges, I'm wondering if it may be a lack of bee's to pollinate. My tomato plants will have 20-25 blossoms each but produce only 4-5 tomatoes.
DFW,
Nice looking piece of beef on 4 legs!!! It looks as if he was smelling your tree.
Glad to hear he found his way back home.
Your Nelly is so adorable, I just love Chihuahuas! Our Beans was a bit overweight, he looked about the same size as Nelly. Our Vet said, older small dogs have a tendency of having thyroid issues. Come to find out our Beans have very low numbers when they did the blood test. Now he's on thyroid medicine twice a day. His numbers are up, and the medicine actually thinned him out. He's like a different dog. Give Nelly a scratch behind her ears for me.
Oh my! He is a handsome bull but I wouldn't want him on my place either!
Nelly looks so cute and I'm guessing she isn't too thrilled with her diet. :)
Mike, Yes he would make a few good meals! I think the lack of oranges was due to very high winds at some point blowing most of the blooms off.
Thanks Sandy, will definitely give Nelly a scratch for you.
Thanks Leigh, She thinks I'm starving her!
He is quite the looker - good thing he seems to be rather mild-mannered. I had to laugh at your description of Nelly - I had Pepperoni in his (hated) sweater and could barely squeeze him in! He is also on a diet and hating it.
Thanks Susan. Yes, Nelly doesn't like the diet.
