Tidbits (food & such) Warning! - Picture Heavy

Not been doing a whole lot. Just trying a few new recipes from my CSA delivery & playing with my new camera (Christmas gift to myself). It's starting to get very hectic at work as we are going into our busy cycle which happens every 4 years. Also getting ready to head to another quilting retreat next weekend. This time for a whole week. I'll stop & pick up a friend in SC & then head on to VA, looking forward to it!

Without further adieu here's my food picture chronicle (click to bigefy):

Homemade crunchy granola

Homemade bun & sausage lentil soup

Super Bowl Nachos

Pork tenderloin, sliced & sauteed

Broccoli Amish salad

Bok Choy roll-ups

Cheesy Cornbread

Broccoli egg muffin

Husband's First ever omelet!

Cheese & Bacon egg muffins

Carrot top
Carrot Souffle
That Carrot Souffle is one of the best things I have ever cooked! I published the recipe over at Hot Flash Homestead since she had an overload of carrots. She served it as a dessert but we eat it as a side dish with fish or chicken. It's like a light version of sweet potato souffle but not even 1/2 as sweet. It's good leftover too!

DFW,

I love giving gifts to myself, especially ones that keep giving like your camera :-)

Please provide some of the recipes(when you have time), these items really do look delicious.

Don't work to hard during this time crunch with your company. Remember to always treat yourself to a nice break during the day, maybe a nice ice tea or something.

Please don't die! I'll remove some of the pictures if it will make you feel better.

All that food sure does look tasty. I mostly make things in the crock pot, like stews and chili. Then I can eat whenever I get hungry. But I see the good food Kymber and some of the other ladies post, and I think sometime I will try something a little different.

I have eaten, but all that food makes me hungry.

Harry,

I love my crockpot especially for weekday dinners. We do roasts as well as soups in it. The house always smells so good when we get home!

Thanks Linda.

You must have known you couldn't post all those pictures of the luscious looking food that's been parading through your kitchen without all of us absolutly neeeeding the recipes. I'm especially interested in the Broccoli Egg Muffins and the Broccoli Amish Salad and . . . well, you get the idea.

Thanks for filling me up this morning without the calories!

Hey Mama Pea,

When I get home from the quilting retreat, I will post recipes, promise!

After 40 (mumble, mumble) years of cooking, today I learned how to make THE BEST crunchy friend eggplant ever. I will never order eggplant in a restaurant again. Then I get to stare at your specialty muffins and a clean oven. You have a clean oven!!!! (hate you, mumble, mumble)

I'll share my eggplant recipe with you if you share ALL of the recipes you photographed. (I'm not trying to be fair. Greedy is the word.) And how hard was it to drag your husband out from under his rock, to make him his FIRST EVER omelet. wow.

Crap. I meant FRIED eggplant.
