I'd like to welcome Debbie from Our Old Homestead. She has a great blog where she talks about their goals to live a simple life. The Amish Bread Recipe, she just shared looks divine. Also joining our little party is The Hot Flash Homestead. She likes all the things that we do plus she actually lives near where wine is grown & made ... jealous!
Update: The Orange Jeep Dad also decided to join. He's a father of six!

On another note ... Justin is headed back to help his parents move a building & some Crepe Myrtles to the Country House. I'm staying home to get the squash, zucchini, & eggplant plants started as well as to 'clean' out most of the plants from the existing beds in order to pile them w/straw & poo to get them ready for Spring planting.
Also headed to a seed swap tomorrow afternoon (all heirloom!). I have tomato, pepper & basil seeds to share. Although, I'll have to put a caveat on the basil, since I wasn't able to start some new seeds the 1st time around.

ReplyDeleteIt was ok. Not as organized as I would have liked but I did get a few seeds that I hadn't purchased. This group is all about permaculture (to me that means disorganized gardening). But, it works for them. I just have to have things neat.
